New Students - Spring 2015

Step 1. Download and print the Pre-entrance Immunization Form, and have your family physician complete and sign the form.

Step 2. Register and complete the required Pre-Entrance Medical Forms at the On-line Health Portal. You will be able to create a portal account approximately 1-2 weeks after you have paid your deposit.

Step 3. Health Insurance Waiver (one of the On-line Portal Forms) (if applicable)

All Rensselaer students pay a health center fee that provides access to on-campus medical, counseling, and health education services. The Health Center does not charge insurance plans for health care services.

In addition, to ensure access to off-campus health care services, an annual health insurance fee is billed to all students. Our annual health insurance coverage has been carefully designed to reflect the needs of today's active students. If you have equivalent coverage, our health insurance fee may be waived, but you will be required to pay the health center fee.

Step 4. On-line Alcohol Education programs (AlcoholEdu and Haven). These two on-line educational experiences are required of all new and transfer students (exchange and graduate students do not need to complete these courses). See instructions below:

AlcoholEdu for College and Haven Directions

You are expected to complete both courses: AlcoholEdu and Haven. You will need one EverFi Higher Education Account to access these courses from your dashboard. We urge you to add all courses to your dashboard before beginning any of the content.

  1. Go to:
  2. Enter a Registration Code (from table below)

This hold will prevent access to grades and registration for fall 2015 classes.  Upon successful completion of the courses, the hold will be removed, however, you may then incur late registration fees.

Print or save a screen shot or copy of the course completion notice of each course for your records.
