Mental Health Screening Tool

The Counseling Center Assessment of Psychological Symptoms Screening  (CCAPS-Screen) Screen is a completely anonymous and confidential online mental health screening instrument that assesses the most common mental health concerns experienced by students.

The CCAPS-Screen is a user-friendly tool that takes approximately 3–5 minutes to complete, and a profile report is automatically generated for students to review. It can help students decide for themselves which steps to take next in caring for their mental health. The screening test does not represent a clinical diagnosis and is not a substitute for a complete evaluation, but you can take your screening results to a counselor, doctor or specialist for help with potential treatment plans.

If you'd like to talk to someone about your screening results, please contact the RPI Counseling Center:

There are also crisis services and mental health resources, including tele-therapy, available through Mantra Health as an extension of the services offered at the RPI Counseling Center.

The CCAPS-Screen is hosted on the PennState website, but the link above is unique for RPI. This screening tool is completely anonymous, meaning that no one will have access to your personal health information. The only data stored is de-identified and can only be accessed in aggregate. The screening tool is for you to use, as needed, and will help you identify any areas of distress and provide resources to assist you with your mental health.
